At HSBC we've made it our challenge to seek out and support businesses that have the potential to stimulate growth. So the HSBC Business Growth Grant competition is offering funding to help grow up to four deserving businesses.

Up to Two £50,000 Growing Business Grants will go to businesses using innovative ideas to grow within the UK. And up to two more £50,000 Overseas Trade Grants will go to businesses that have the aspiration and motivation to develop new opportunities overseas.

The closing date for entries has passed. The winners will be announced by 31 March 2012 so please keep checking the site for updates.

How the HSBC Business Growth Grants work

  • Overseas Trade Grants

    We're looking for entrepreneurs who can demonstrate that their innovative ideas and aspirations are driving their businesses to develop overseas opportunities.

  • Growing Business Grants

    We're looking for confident and motivated business owners who can demonstrate that they can grow their businesses to the next level in the UK. So, if you're developing new products and services, expanding into new areas or regions, or scaling up we want to hear from you.

How the competition works:

  • Up to Two £50,000 Growing Business Grants will be awarded to businesses using innovative ideas to grow within the UK. And two more £50,000 Overseas Trade Grants will go to businesses that have the aspiration and motivation to develop new opportunities overseas.
  • We'll be accepting applications from 17th October 2011 and the last day for accepting applications is 31st December 2011
  • The 5 most compelling applicants for each grant category will be invited to pitch to a panel of judges to showcase what sets them apart from the competition.
  • The judging panel will then select up to 4 businesses to be announced by the 31 March, each winning £50,000.

Key dates

  • Application window 17th October - 31st December 2011
  • Judging window 2nd January 2012 - 17th February 2012
  • Winners announce by the 31 March 2012
